Custom wedding rings, made by hand in Eindhoven
Rings that feel like the two of you
You’ll wear your wedding rings every single day, so they should feel completely yours. Matching, or each in your own style? Yellow, white or rose gold, or platinum? Diamonds, or beautifully simple? Slim and refined, or bold and organic? Here, everything starts with you.
We sit down together in our studio to talk through your ideas and your style, in English or Dutch, whichever you prefer. Every ring is made by hand at our workbench in the Klokgebouw at Strijp-S, with a view across the city. We use recycled gold and ethically sourced diamonds and gemstones. If you have family gold you’d like to reuse, we can often give it a new life in your rings.
Couples come to us from all over the Netherlands and Belgium, including many from around the world who have made the Netherlands their home. Plenty of them have their rings made here and then travel home to get married. Wherever you say “I do”, we’ll make sure your rings are ready in time.

Wedding rings: your questions answered
How much do custom wedding rings cost?
Our handmade wedding rings start at around €3,000 for a pair. The price depends on the metal (14 or 18 carat gold, or platinum), the width of the rings and whether you’d like diamonds or other stones. After your design consultation you’ll receive a clear quote, so you know exactly where you stand.
How far in advance should we order our rings?
We need 8 to 10 weeks to make your rings, so ideally start three to four months before the wedding. Shorter on time? Get in touch and we’ll see what we can do.
Can we have our consultation in English?
Absolutely. We’re happy to talk in English or Dutch. At the studio you can try on different rings, which makes choosing much easier.
Which gold carat can you work with?
Our standard is 14 or 18 carat, but we can also make your rings in a higher carat, because we alloy our own gold in the studio. That matters for many international couples, as the “usual” gold differs from country to country: in the United States 14 carat is most common, in India couples often choose 22 carat, and in the Middle East 21 or 22 carat is popular. The higher the carat, the richer the yellow colour, but also the softer the gold, which is worth considering for a ring you wear every day. We’re happy to talk you through the options.
Which hand is the wedding ring worn on in the Netherlands?
Both hands are common. In the south of the Netherlands and in Belgium it’s traditionally the left hand; in the rest of the country it’s often the right. Most of our couples choose the left. Many international couples simply follow the tradition from home, and that’s perfectly fine.
Can we use our own gold?
Often, yes, and it’s a lovely way to carry a family heirloom forward. It’s usually a little less expensive than new gold, but the difference is small, because melting down and refining old gold takes extra work. Not all gold is suitable, so we’ll look at it together during your consultation.
Can we make our own wedding rings?
Yes. In our private workshop, the two of you make your own wedding rings under the guidance of a goldsmith, in English or Dutch. A day to remember, right here in our studio. More about the wedding ring workshop
Can I book my appointment in English?
Yes. Our online booking page shows each type of appointment in both Dutch and English, so it’s easy to find your way: just choose the appointment you’d like and pick a date and time. Prefer to arrange things in English? Email us at info@atelieraroha.nl or send us a WhatsApp message and we’ll plan your consultation together.
Where is your studio, and where can we park?
You’ll find us at Klokgebouw 230, 5617 AC Eindhoven (Strijp-S), on the fourth floor. The easiest place to park is the Om de Hoek car park, a few minutes’ walk away; there’s also paid street parking. Ask at the Klokgebouw reception and they’ll point you our way. There are stairs and a lift.
